It was a day of giving back to the community as Durham Marketplace hosted its first Spring Fling event. Durham locals and students enjoyed the smooth reggae sounds of local band Roots Rhythm and Dub which paired nicely with the Jamaican themed BBQ put on by the Meat House. The $500 raised from the BBQ went to benefit Durham’s Growing Places Children’s Center.

The ducks were in a row as Womenade organizers were gearing up for their last week of fundraising for the fourth annual Quackfest event; all proceeds raised went to helping local residents in a time of crisis.
